Are you looking for a way of caring for your health?
…to take an active role in managing or improving a potentially long-term health concern?
…an approach to health that encompasses all of your being, body, mind and emotions?
Yoga Therapy applies the tools of yoga to address health issues in a gradual and safe way.

What is involved?
Your yoga therapist will work with you to devise an appropriate practice that addresses your current health situation. You will then be guided through the practice to ensure that you can comfortably carry it out at home. A written plan will help you with your practice on your own at home.

The practice may include a number of postures, some breathing exercises or elements of relaxation and meditation. Mindfulness and personal reflection are supportive aspects of most people’s yoga practice.
Subsequent sessions allow for adjustment and progression according to your experience with your home practice and taking into account any changes in your health or circumstances, This way your practice always addresses your current needs and abilities.
Yoga therapy sessions don’t necessarily take place on a weekly basis but are arranged at agreed intervals to allow time to embed the practice into your daily life.
Yoga therapy is a gentle, gradual process. Most benefit can be obtained from committing to several sessions to allow the positive effects of your practice in your everyday life to evolve and consolidate.
Yoga Therapy is useful for…
- back, shoulder and neck pain, postural issues
